From iconic events like Art Basel, the Miami Marathon, South Beach Wine & Food Festival, and the Air and Sea Show, to city-produced celebrations like the Fourth of July, Juneteenth, and New Year’s Day, there’s always something exciting happening in Miami Beach.
Special event applications must receive City Commission approval to proceed during High Impact Periods, as outlined in the City Commission-approved Special Event Guidelines. These periods include March and the first two weeks of April, coinciding with college and high school spring breaks.

Community Review
Special Event Permit applications undergo review and recommendations from the relevant neighborhood or business association(s) during the monthly Special Events Community Review. Applicants seeking a permit for an event on public property must present their plans to the appropriate neighborhood association.
