  • The playground area features: Poured in place safety surface, two components, train, swings, a freestanding rock wall, upper body “Fit Kid” elementary equipment for ages 5-12 and spring riders
    for ages 2-5.

  • A shaded outdoor fitness zone created for ages 14+ with available ADA fitness workout equipment is located adjacent to the basketball courts. A "Kidfit" fitness workout area for ages 12 and under is located within the playground. A myequilibria is located by the track and football field.

  • Tennis Center:

Activities and Features

Parks-Flamingo-Pool

Aquatics

This beautifully landscaped state-of-the-art aquatic facility features two separate pool areas. The main pool features a lap pool (8 lanes at Flamingo, 4 lanes at Normandy) that are aerated in the summer and heated in the winter to maintain a 79 – 84 degree temperature. The water playground is a zero to 15 inch depth interactive/play pool. The aquatic facility offers locker rooms with showers, lounge chairs and sunbrellas. The pools also offer birthday party rentals, learn to swim classes and specialty camps throughout the year.

Dog Park Dog

Bark Park

The bark park consists of two separate dog areas available for your canine family. One area is opened at a time in order to continuously serve the users. The bark park is a social setting for dog owners to let their dogs off leash. Remember, it is a city ordinance to clean up after your pet and maintain them on a leash at all times.

Baseball Stadium

The best in South Florida, home to the Miami Beach High Tides, our local high school, and plays host to the Adult South Florida Baseball League. Several baseball players from Major League Baseball (MLB) train on this magnificently maintained field during the off season.

Flamingo Park's basketball courts were voted "Best of Miami 2005" and "Best of Miami 2009" in a local publication. Come play on our two full or four half courts.

Handball / Racquetball Courts

Flamingo Park’s handball/racquetball courts are one of the oldest and most well-maintained in the country. All (6) four-wall courts and (6) one-wall courts are exterior and available for day and/or night play. Hours subject to change on holidays.

Memorial Football Stadium / Running Track

Monday – Sunday:
6:15 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
In 2013, the Flamingo Park football field and track was renovated. Updates include renovation of the bleacher building, press box, restrooms and concession stand in compliance with ADA standards, installation of artificial turf and field drainage to accommodate for football and soccer games and an eight lane running track surfaced with material that is guaranteed to also withstand bikes and roller-blades. This field is used 12-months a year by a wide range of players that includes the Parks and Recreation Department, high school, civic leagues and charitable teams. Several NFL players train on this field during the off season.

Miami Beach Parks and Recreation’s traveling and intramural teams play and compete on this field. This area is also used for general activities.

Tennis Center

In 2013 renovations to the Flamingo Park Tennis Center were completed. Renovations included demolishing and replacing the existing Tennis Center and 17 tennis courts and installing new lighting, landscaping, irrigation and drainage. The courts were voted “Best of Miami 2009” and features a pro shop. The Tennis Center was once home to the Jr. Orange Bowl Tournament and is currently managed by the City of Miami Beach. Tot Lot / Playground

Monday – Sunday: Sunrise – Sunset
In December 2005, the Parks and Recreation Department along with GameTime designed this tot lot/playground that benefits the developmental progression of children’s climbing abilities, early social and cognitive development, youth health and fitness. The tot lot/playground was designed to help parents fight the number one threat to their children today-obesity. The amount of equipment was tripled to include a Fit Kid Elementary area with a toddler lot, swing set, and 5-12 year old area that includes a rock climbing wall. This beautifully landscaped and irrigated area also features an original choo-choo train from the 1950’s. Hours subject to change on holidays.
