The Parent-Child Home Program (PCHP) is an innovative home based early literacy and parenting program designed to increase language and literacy skills, enhance social and emotional development, and strengthen the parent-child relationship.
Trained Home Visitors visit families twice a week for two years. The Home Visitor emphasizes verbal interaction and learning through play, using carefully chosen books and toys which are provided to the families at no cost. Home visits are scheduled at the convenience of parents so that moms and dads who are working, in school, or in training programs can easily participate.
In order to meet eligibility, you must be:
- Miami Beach residents
- Children must be between 16 months and 2 ½ years old
- Families must be low-income
