Building Department - Building Permits Fees and Temporary Occupant Loads
If you are erecting temporary structure such as Tents; Fencing; Staging; Electrical; Bleachers; Pluming (Restroom(s) / Port-a-lets); Pool Covers; you will require temporary structure permits. In addition, if you are exceeding your permanent occupancy load you may need to apply for a Temporary Occupant Load at Building. If you are encroaching or placing any of the following items such as a Crane or any other type heavy machinery on the Public Right of Way or sidewalk, you must obtain a Right of Way permit from the City’s Public Works Department 305.673.7080.
Parks & Recreation
If you are holding an event in a City park or any other grass area and have temporary structures or any other items that may damage the grass; you may have to arrange a pre-event walkthrough to the event site. A Parks Department Supervisor or designee will mark sprinkler lines. In addition a post event walkthrough may be performed to asses any damage to grass or irrigation lines if any.
