HYBRID/ILEV PARKING
How do I qualify for a Hybrid Permit?
City residents who own a state registered ILEV/Hybrid vehicle; vehicle receiving an EPA rating of six “6” or higher (“Smartway” designation); and all street legal electric vehicles can get a 50 percent discount on residential decals. In addition, a limited amount of citywide decals (500) will be available for $100 per year. These permits are honored at metered areas only (on street and municipal lots). Hybrid owners who reside outside of the city can get a 50 percent discount on the monthly parking permits at city garages and lots. Finally, under the program, two percent of spaces at the 42nd Street garage; one percent of spaces at the 7th Street Garage; and one percent of spaces at 13th Street garage would be assigned for hybrid vehicles only.
