Under the direction of the City Engineer, the Transportation Division stewards all transportation, mobility, concurrency, and growth management efforts for the City. The Division works to provide linkages between the City's Land Use Transportation paradigms involving mobility, livability, accessibility and sustainability issues. The Division is composed of four sections: Transportation Planning; Traffic Engineering; Concurrency; and the Bicycle Program. The Division is responsible for the implementation of the Bicycle Program, the Municipal Mobility Plan; and the Concurrency Management System (CMS) and its applications and fee structures, which generate administrative revenues. In addition, the Division serves as the liaison between the City and County/State officials for outside transportation projects and programs.  The Division procures funding for the planning, design and construction of all transportation and related projects.  The Division also coordinates all traffic engineering issues with the Miami-Dade County Traffic Engineering Division.
