**Please note: The Scott Rakow Youth Center building will be going under renovation August 3, 2009. We'll continue to offer our quality After School program. The gymnasium, patio, swimming pool and ice rink will remain open. The gameroom and arts and crafts area will relocate to the patio. The Scott Rakow Youth Center was built in 1976 to serve the teens of Miami Beach. It has now grown to serve children and adults of all ages with a variety of recreational activities.
The Youth Center is a multi- faceted facility that houses an ice skating rink, outdoor swimming pool, six bowling lanes, gymnasium, arts and crafts center, game room, indoor beach volleyball and a play area.
Children in 4th-12th grade can attend the after school and summer camp programs that are held Monday-Friday. Children will experience a multitude of recreational activities that include: games, sports, field trips, swimming, arts and crafts, beach volleyball, ice skating, bowling and theme events. Families are encouraged to enjoy a day of fun every Saturday and Sunday. We also offer a variety of classes for children of all ages, adults and seniors that include: swimming, ice skating, hockey and sports leagues. Free parking is conveniently located at the Youth Center.
