April 2012 At the April 23, 2012 due date, the City received eight (8) proposals from the following master development teams; 1) CConnectMB, 2) Flagstone Property Group, 3) Matthews Southwest, 4) Portman CMC, 5) Rida Development Corporation, 6) SoBeCa, LLC, 7) South Beach ACE, and 8) Turnberry Lincoln Village, LLC. Subsequently, Matthews Southwest withdrew their proposal due to the untimely passing of its project lead. The Evaluation Committee also was assembled in late April.
February 2012 Development of the Miami Beach Convention Center District: RFQ No. 22-11/12The City is engaging in a multi-phased process to identify the development partner for this project. May 13, 2010 In 2008, the City Commission authorized the City Administration to enter into a contract with the architectural firm, Arquitectonica, to develop a campus master plan for MBCC that would enhance the facility and would position it ahead of the competitive peer group and convention destinations. Several Community Design Workshops will be held to receive input from the Miami Beach community before a final plan is presented to the Miami Beach and Miami-Dade commissions for approvals.
