GAY BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT 

The GLBT Business Development Committee was first created as an ad hoc group in 2008 by Miami Beach Mayor Matti Bower to enhance Miami Beach as a place that is welcoming to Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender businesses as well as residents and visitors and to enrich the larger community.  It has since become a full-fledged advisory committee to the entire City Commission. Its mission is to make suggestions regarding city policy and projects that enhance the welfare and future of the Miami Beach LGBT community.    

Current membership includes:

Ivan Cano, Thomas Barker, Jorge Richa, Chip Arndt, Nellie Barrios, Karen Brown, Billy Kemp, Chad Richter, Laura Veitia, Edison Farrow, Joel Stedman, Dale Stine, Daniel Spring, Michael Bath and Marivi Iglesias.  

Meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m. in the Mayor's Conference room, fourth floor of City Hall.
