As a City Commissioner (first elected in 2005 and reelected in 2009), Jerry Libbin has worked diligently
to preserve and enhance the city’s unique and vibrant character. He has focused on improvements outlined in each section of this site. Please click on each link for more information and feel free to contact his office with any questions or concerns.
Libbin has always been very active within the community and enjoys giving back. Before he became Commissioner, he was a member of the Miami Beach Planning Board, where he successfully pushed for the creation of “Neighborhood Conservation Districts,” which gives residents more power over local zoning decisions. In addition, he is a dedicated member of several charity organizations. Commissioner Libbin plans on deepening his involvement in community organizations and projects as well as continuing to achieve his goals toward the betterment of the City. He currently Chairs the Sustainability Committee, is a member of the Neighborhood Community Affairs Committee as well as the Land Use Committee and is very involved with the Finance Committee as an alternate member.Commissioner Libbin is the President and CEO of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce. He is married to Raquel,
