Development Proposals for 72nd Street RFP
Christina Cuervo, Assistant City Manager, opened the meeting with a presentation as outlined in Commission Memorandum No. 176-00 and in the following resolution:
A Resolution Accepting the Recommendation of the Evaluation Committee Relative to the Proposals Received and Authorizing the Administration to Enter into Negotiations with the Only Ranked Firm, The Pointe at North Beach, Pursuant to Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 42-98/99 for Development of Approximately Four (4) Acres of City-Owned Property Known as the A72nd Street Site@, Located between Collins and Harding Avenues, from 72nd to 73rd Streets, Further Approving and Authorizing Said Negotiations Subject to Certain Conditions, as Set Forth in this Resolution.
Mr. Doron Valero presented The Point @ North Beach or Equity One.
Mr. Taylor presented the North Beach /72nd Inc (Taylor Development and Land Company).
Members of the public were invited to speak. There were approximately 34 speakers.
Mr. Cannon and Mr. Abramson the City=s consultant each gave presentations and addressed questions.
Because this is a Commission Workshop, no official action could be taken. This item will be heard at the February 23, 2000 Commission Meeting, item R7C.
