SUCCESS UNIVERSITYSuccess University Sign-up!As part of our ongoing commitment to provide quality, outcomes-based programming to our community’s youth, the Office of Community Services has partnered with a variety of community-based providers to offer Success University. Our partners include:- Miami-Dade County Public Schools- Ayuda- ASPIRA of South Florida- Choices, Et Al- Junior Achievement of Greater Miami- Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce- Miami Beach Community Health Center- South Florida Center for Family Counseling- Teen Job Corps- UNIDAD/ Miami Beach Hispanic Community Center - Institute for Child and Family Health - Stand Up For Those Who Can't- Switchboard of Miami Success University offers a variety of programming to reduce truancy and prepare our youth and families for success. The primary goal of the program is to address the root causes of excessive absences for our middle and high school students, resulting in the elimination of unnecessary absences. Program services Offerings include:
- 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens- 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families- Family Group Conferencing - Care Coordination- Gap Services- Employment Services- Referral Services- Youth Tutoring
Data CollectionThe OCS publishes Partner Performance Ratings, measuring each agency's service delivery. Ratings are distributed as a measuring tool for continuous quality improvement.The 2008 Success University Report has been compiled as a resource for the Miami Beach Service Partnership’s Governing Board as it endeavors to review the impact and future track of its first programmatic initiative, Success University. The report herein utilizes service data and subjective review to provide a broad understanding of the program’s various service components and their providers.
The Office also provides additional support services for youth including:
• Community service supervision for high school students• Supervision of court-ordered community service• The City of Miami Beach Travel & Tourism Scholarship Program• Advocacy and referral to services including: medical & legal services, housing, food, clothing and more• SHARE food program
