The City of Miami Beach, in partnership with the IRS Tax Education and Communication Services, offers free tax preparation for qualified residents at Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites.

The VITA site at Miami Beach City Hall will offer FREE tax preparation service for the upcoming tax filing season for those with a combined annual household income less than $51,000. The free services are available at the following schedule:

Miami Beach, Florida 33139

Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 5:30-7:00 p.m.
Saturdays: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.


To be eligible to receive free tax preparation services, the taxpayer must have a household income of $51,000 or less. The taxpayer is required to bring the following documents to the VITA site:

• Tax information such as W-2, 1098 and 1099 forms and last year's returns

• Social Security, Tax Payer Identification Number (ITIN) letter and birthdates for the taxpayer and all persons on the tax return

• Proof of identity such as a driver’s license or other picture identification

• Must live within the City of Miami Beach to receive free tax assistance
