Project Summary: Master planning provides the vision and goals for a City to follow over the short and long term. In 1999, the City of Miami Beach adopted its Municipal Mobility Plan. The Transportation Department and its consultants have drafted the city's master plan, which will require adoption by the City commission and is anticipated for approval in February 2016. Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and Smart Parking System (SPS)
Project Summary: In an effort to address traffic congestion and improve mobility throughout the City, the Transportation Department is currently pursing a state-of-the-art Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and Smart Parking System (SPS) Project on a permanent basis. Beach Corridor Transit Connection Project (f.k.a. Baylink)
Project Summary: The City has been working in partnership with the Miami-Dade Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), Miami-Dade Transit (MDT), Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), and the City of Miami as part of the ongoing Beach Corridor Transit Connection Study (formerly known as the Baylink Corridor Study) studying ways to improve mass transit connectivity between the city of Miami Beach and Downtown Miami.
